How to Play Live Blackjack VIP
Our Live Blackjack VIP tables have seven seats each and follow the standard casino rules. This means that the aim of the game is to put together a hand of cards that is as close in value to 21 as possible but without exceeding it and going bust. If your hand is closer in value to 21 than the dealer’s is at the end of the round then you have won. Blackjack has very simple rules. The numbered cards are worth their face values, the face cards (Jack, Queen and King) are all worth 10, and Aces are worth 1 or 11. This means that it is possible to form 21 with just two cards, and Ace and a 10 card. This is called Blackjack and it will beat all other hands. At the start of each round you need to place your bet, at this point you can also place a couple of side bets (these are explained below). After all players have placed their bets, each position is dealt two face up cards and the dealer receives one face up card and one face down. When it is your turn to play you will be given a number of options, there are three main ones, ‘Hit’, ‘Stand’ and ‘Double’. If you choose ‘Hit’ then you receive one more card to your hand, if you choose ‘Double’ then your initial bet is doubled, you will receive one more card to that hand, and then play moves on to the next player, if you choose ‘Stand’ then the hand remains as it is and play moves on. After all players have finished the dealer plays their hand. The dealer must always draw to 16 and stand on all 17s. In some sitwwwions you will have more options. If the dealer’s face up card is an Ace then you can take out ‘Insurance’ against the dealer having Blackjack. Insurance costs half of your bet and it pays at 2:1. The dealer will always check for Blackjack if they have a face up Ace. If your first two hands are the same value then you can ‘Split’ the cards into two separate hands. You can then play them as separate hands for more chances of winning. At the end of a round all winning hands are paid at 1:1, except for Blackjack which is paid at 3:2. If your hand is worth the same as the dealer’s is then the bet is returned as a push.
