Before spinning the reels, you simply need to set your total bet per spin using the controls beneath the reels. It can be anything from 0.20 up to 100. In order to win payouts you need to land clusters of at least five adjacently connected matching symbols. There are four high value symbols, a hammer, a sword, a shield and a hunting horn. The lower value symbols are stones coloured red, blue, purple and green inscribed with rune symbols.

The slot features cascading reels. This means that when a winning cluster lands on the reels, the symbols in that cluster are then removed to allow more to fall from above. This may form another win and the process can then repeat itself indefinitely. At the same time, the removed symbols are collected in a Ring Meter at the side of the reels.
If you manage to collect 30 or more symbols in the Ring Meter, then you trigger special levels. The Bronze Forged feature is triggered with 30 symbols, the Silver Forged with 70 symbols and the Gold Forged with 120 symbols,
When one of the Forged features is activated, a pattern is made up of the symbol in the centre of the grid. The size of the pattern depends on the level you have reached. The Bronze Forged will form a cluster of at least seven symbols, the Silver Forged will form a cluster of between 12 and 19 symbols, and the Gold Forged will form a cluster of between 20 and 37 symbols.
There are three reel modifier features that can trigger on any spin that doesn’t produce a win. They are known as Odin’s Abilities and are as follows:
- Wisdom Feature: Before the Forged feature triggers, you receive an upgrade of the central symbol that is to become the winning cluster. It can be any high value symbol or wild.
- Power Feature: If you are within five symbol of the next charge and there are no more wins on the grid, the feature can destroy two random symbol types on the grid and create a new cascade.
- Glory Feature: This adds between 2 and 8 wilds to random positions on the grid.
