Before spinning the reels, you need to set your total bet per spin using the controls underneath the reels and it can be anything from 0.20 up to 100. You then just need to click on the spin button to set the reels going. You can also use the auto play function to set up to 100 spins in motion complete with stop conditions.
In order to win payouts you need to land enough matching symbols along a payline on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel. There are four high value symbols, a skull, candles, nightshade, and crossed knives. The lower value symbols are the royals 10, J, Q, K, and A.

In the base game, a special Spirit Game reel overlay can land on any reel. If one of the wild women then lands on that reel it will trigger one of the following features for a free respin:
- Queen Of The Damned – Spirit gates are added to all other reels for the next spin.
- Metal Priestess – All the high value symbols are upgraded to skull symbols.

If you land the Crypt scatter symbol on reels one, three and five simultaneously then you win eight free spins with the Spirit Gate based upon whichever theme and wild woman is active at that moment. During the free spins, if a Crypt symbol lands in a Spirit Gate it will upgrade that symbol into a more fiery one and if you can land three of those special symbols then eight Crypt spins are awarded.
The Crypt Spins contain the Spirit of Unity wild, which awards all wild features when that particular wild lands in the Spirit Gate. Better yet, the Crypt Spins can be retriggered indefinitely. When all the spins are over, the base game theme will change at random.
