Payouts are won by landing enough matching symbols from left to right along a payline on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel. There are four high value symbols, beetles coloured red, blue, green and purple. The lower value symbols are the royals 10, J, Q, K and A.

When three or more of the beetle wild symbols land anywhere on the reels the free spins are triggered. You initially win ten free spins that can be retriggered by landing more scatters. However, during the free spins, on each spin a standard symbol is chosen at random and displayed above the third reel. After that spin, all the symbols on the reels where the chosen symbol also lands will match as long as the following conditions are met:
- If the chosen symbol is a beetle (but not the scatter/wild) there must be at least two other beetles on separate reels.
- If the chosen symbol is 10, J, Q, K or A there must be at least three others on separate reels.
You are then paid out for wins with those symbols, even if there are no winning combinations on active paylines.

The red beetle offers a huge top payout of 5000x when five land along a payline. The blue beetle can payout up to 2000x, and the green and purple beetles can both payout up to 750x.
